Their music can be classified as new age thrash metal, giving fans a fine blend of thrash as tormenta hears it. a chance for metal heads to let loose the metal demon inside.tormenta promises to deliver an onslaught of heavy riffs and performance that will leave metal marks to every metal heads.

Tormenta started with Dhai(drums) Lai (guitar)wanting to form a band playing the music of the greats such as, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer,Sepultura, etc. Practicing with other local metal bands like Locura and Serenity Dies, the search for lead guitarist, bass and vocals was on.Various musicians jammed with them but never clicked with the duo. Mabi(guitar) joined the band through the help of Chippe’(Serenity Dies), sharing the same dream as Lai n Dhai, Tormenta grew strong. All the while Mu-k(Locura drummer) did vocals for a few practice sessions just for the fun it. At the time A.D(Phormentera) was filling in for vocals and only the position of bass was open. Bringing in the heavily Iron maiden influenced Riley(Ex-Delirium XIII Bassist) into a heavier,faster music.

Tormenta started to practice for their first debut show(Anti-drug campaign show june 29th, 2006) with Mu-k as guests to play covers of Sepultura. On stage when Mu-k went up, it felt right and the rest of the band felt that this was the beginning of TORMENTA.

2009 heavily influenced from the great thrash pioneers J355y accepted his oath to fulfill on the bass as Riley departed.with a lot of hard work and overcoming lot of obstacles during the course.

for the song “Nothing Left” by A Cry Farewell

Newcomers to the musical landscape, “A Cry Farewell,” are bursting on the scene with the blistering single, “Nothing Left.” The hot new track from their recent recording sessions with accomplished producer Travis Wyrick, shows the unmistakable markings of a band that wants to mix things up in the hard rock arena. While mixing a metal sound with honest, open lyrics. This band wears its heart on its sleeve by taking their diverse musical influences and crafting a sound that is completely original and refreshing in todays music scene. Lets all hope this band keeps pushing the limits and creating songs that not only are enjoyable to listen to but provoke thought about a world we all inhabit.

The Frontier Touring Company are pleased to announce that indie rockers Vampire Weekend will be performing a series of headline shows across Australia and New Zealand in April/May in addition to their Groovin’ The Moo performances.

The band initially made their mark on the music scene through their immense online success at a time when the term ‘internet sensation’ was relatively unheard of. After dominating online audiences, they released their hotly anticipated self-titled debut in 2008, cementing their arrival to indie rock. Their sharp, witty lyrics intermingled with African inspired beats guided them toward the forefront of the genre and the band quickly escalated to global fame.

The Gipsy Kings are that rare thing – a household name famous solely for their music. Without peer, they are the planet’s most successful world music artists, and probably the best flamenco guitar artists in the world too! While they are the most successful French music group in history and they have sold more than 18 million albums worldwide, the Gipsy Kings make music as communion, artistry rooted in the past yet focused on the future.

The Gipsy Kings consist of two bands of brothers: the Reyes (Nicolas, Canut, Paul, Patchaï, André) and the Baliardos (Tonino, Paco, Diego). Initially, the Reyes and Baliardos busked on the streets of Cannes, and played weddings and parties, flavouring flamenco with Western pop and Latin rhythms.

When an American admirer told the band their name Los Reyes meant “The Kings” in English they realised they were born to be Gipsy Kings. In 1987 their selftitled debut album introduced the world to rumba gitano—the sound of South America’s rumba rhythm married to flamenco guitars—and the track “Bamboleo” was a huge international hit. Since then the Kings have never stopped singing to the world.

An acoustic-based rock musician hailing from New Jersey, Brian Colburn has been a mainstay of the NJ music scene for the past decade, and is currently making a name for himself in the singer / songwriter circle. Colburn’s music is grounded in soaring melodies and memorable hooks, giving his music a cross-genre appeal.

Brian’s influences range from: 90′s rock acts such as Blues Traveler, Sister Hazel, Toad The Wet Sprocket, & Barenaked Ladies; Current acoustic-rock staples such as Jack Johnson, Eric Hutchinson, Jason Mraz, Virginia Coalition, & Donavon Frankenreiter; and timeless artists such as John Hiatt, Billy Joel, & Tom Petty.

Since 2007, Brian has released three discs of original music: 2007′s “Literal Fiction,” 2008′s “Time Marches On,” and 2009′s “Life Happens.” Brian can also be heard on the Versailles Record’s release of “Wicked Garden: A Millennium Tribute To Stone Temple Pilots,” where he and DC Slater contributed an acoustic-reworking of the band’s classic track “Unglued.”

Brian has appeared as an opening act for Blues Traveler, Plain White T’s, and Toad The Wet Sprocket. Brian continues to perform throughout the North-East, and hopes to expand throughout 2010.

Conrad started his musical endeavors at a very young age. when playing the recorder in grade school didn’t cut it, he opted for Cello and stuck with it through all four years of high school. He picked up the guitar in sixth grade after hearing “Eruption” by Van Halen and after highschool, preceded to study music at musicians institute and graduate with a GIT certificate. His main influences are Ludwig Van Beethoven, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and Dream Theater to name a few.

It’s about time. On the heels of a self-released EP and a slew of national accolades, singer/songwriter Billy Redfield has just released his debut full lengther entitled “Two Steps Closer.” It’s a CD that builds on his reputation for breezy acoustic-based ballads and upbeat pop anthems delivered with equal parts earnesty AND urgency.

Working with an uber- talented studio team that includes producer Chris Keup (Jason Mraz, Josh Kelly) and engineer Stewart Myers (Rachel Yamagata, Lifehouse) “Two Steps” is an impressive effort for the 26 year old Maryland-native;especially considering he’s a relative newcomer to the art of songwriting. Full of tasteful guitar phrasings, shuffling beats and lilting Hammond B-3, Redfield’s musical reference points clearly extend beyond his birth date. “Guys like David Gray and Dave Matthews really changed my way of approaching writing songs,” Redfield admits.

Redfield recently received honorable mention in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition for his track “Die for You” no easy feat considering the sheer number of entries and a panel of judges that includes Frank Black, Tom Waits, and the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas. It’s recognition like this that the soft-spoken Redfield doesn’t take lightly. “It was pretty amazing [to win]. It was really validating.”

Redfield’s continued evolution as a young songwriter continues lyrically, where on pensive numbers like “Miss Melissa” he sings, “And I’m trying to melt the pain/But each day goes/And I’m nailed to the ghost/The weight of it all keeps my face long/I Miss Melissa.”

“I write from a personal point of view;it’s what I know best,” admits Redfield. And it’s clearly what his fans; who’ve cleverly dubbed themselves “redheads”relate to most. The coming months will look to see Redfield expand his flame-colored flocks and continue to hone his songwriting chops on the road in support of “Two Steps Closer.” A title, which based on his current round of career success, could prove prescient.

Smooth Deep
Nick Semwogerere was born in 1984 in Camden Town London, England.
Nick got involved in music making in 1999 with the group Neramic.

In 2001 Nick left the goup Nermic, he started to take music
seriously when he joined to Blackmagic crew later in 2001 (Black The Ripper, Black Widow and
Smooth Deep).

Within in the goup they started to record a mixtape if was half completed when the group got
dis-banded towards the end of 2001.
In 2002 Nick decided to start his solo career under his MC name Smooth Deep. In 2003 Nick and
with three other rappers (Day-G, Loyalty G.C, Southpaw) part of the Collective
“Combined Interlects”.

In 2006 Nick decided to self released his first solo mixtape “Concealed Anger” as a free mixtape, after the release of his mixtape he release two other mixtapes “BOOOYAHHH
(I found the lost tapes)” and “Time To Grow”.

In 2008 Nick agreed to place 3 of his tracks on OK! Records Compilation album
“Underdogs Unleashed”. Since the compilation he went on to sign a record deal with OK! Records
and released his first EP album “Portfolio” on 13 October 2008 which he desided to take the
best 10 tracks form his mix tapes and release them digital re-mastered by OK! Records, to
surport his debut album “Standing Tall” which is looking for release in early 2009.

A Coruna, or to give it it’s archaic title “The Groyne”, is the second largest city in Galicia; in the A Coruna Province of North West Spain. Deriving its name from the ancient Columna or “Tower Of Hercules”, it’s a busy port located on a promontory in the entrance of an estuary on a large gulf, and is known as a popular distribution point for agricultural goods from the region. Certainly not the kind of place that you’d expect to find such scintillating hard rock acts as Shine.

Formed back in 1995 by Guitarist and Vocalist Joel Varela, as a means of expressing his feelings and emotions of all depths and graces; Shine, completed by Miguel Thomas (Guitar), Álex Rapitis (Bass) and Iago Blanco (Drums) have spent the last 14 years slowly maturing and developing their sound in order to create the expansive, the crushing and the wondrous “Ungravity”.

Rife with heightening melodies, concussive rhythmical qualities and moments of sheer genius; “Ungravity” is a trend defying tour-de-force, that shares a deep musical kinship with such timely acts as Killing Joke, Radiohead and Joy Division. With tracks like the metal-tinged ‘Cycle’, the anguish-infused power of ‘Cool’ and the sheer Americana of ‘You And I’; a sombre acoustic number that relays an inbred honesty and accessibility, that remains both radio friendly and genuinely heartfelt. A notion that succinctly highlights Shine’s entire outlook and ethic.

It may have taken them nearly a decade and a half, but if history has proven anything; it is that truly great things are bred and created from tireless effort and personal struggle. With “Ungravity”, Shine have forged a sound that stands proudly next to the greats of our time. And with a bright future ahead, the young quartet from A Coruna are destined to do just as their name states.

David Tyrrell
Spawned in the great city of Liverpool, David Tyrrell ripped their way into the music scene in 2008 with their debut EP, Believe. The band combines David’s powerful lyrics with blazing drum tracks and bouncing basslines to fabricate yet another disc full of pulse-pounding scorchers. With standout tracks like “Believe” and “For You” look for David Tyrrell to be a major part in the music landscape for years to come.

This is a Liverpool based band performing their own material at a range of venues across the north west including the ITC Festival and a slot on the Sky channel propeller (chan 195). Also, they were winners of ‘The Beat Goes On’ to be included in an exhibition in the Liverpool museum to celebrate Liverpool music, with an amazing 61% of the votes.

They have just released their first EP called ‘Believe’ to rave reviews and are hosting their own EP launch night in the Zanzibar on the 8th of Nov closley followed by a headlining slot in the Carling Academy. And will be releasing ‘The Entire World’ single in December 2008.

With a new studio album in Production “Electric Sandbox” is once again on the move!

The bands indie label “Galvan Records” and music publisher Ruff Track Productions and Publishing, (ASCAP), announced today, Feb 17th, 2009 that an agreement has been reached with “Electric Sandbox” for a ‘download only’ world wide release of the bands acclaimed independent album.

“Cover Your Trax” which features the new hit singles “Soft,Slow and Easy”,
“Over and Over” and “The Wizard”. Other popular tracks include “Satisfy”, “Lovin’ You” and “Hey Lord”.

The album was Produced and engineered by Rob Beaton (Whitney Houston, Sammy Hagar, Kenny G. and ESPN’s Monday Night Football theme-just a few of his recording credits), with co producers JT Thario and John Galvan.
